In the charming ambiance of the Old Market in Old Velenje, this year will once again unfold a wonderful story woven onto forks. The Šaleška Valley Tourism Institute and Šili Pasta are reorganizing an event at the longest table in the Šaleška Valley, which will take place on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 7 PM until late evening.
We promise a pleasant gastronomic evening infused with flavors of Italy and the Mediterranean. Under the stars, the Šili culinary team, along with local chefs, will prepare a 6-course menu featuring homemade Šili pasta. The culinary team will include Boštjan Volk – the Young Chef of Europe 2023. Each dish will be carefully paired with selected wines from the House of Good Wines Koželj. A musical accompaniment will ensure a pleasant atmosphere, adding the perfect touch to a relaxed and social evening.

The event is organized with respect for the environment, designed sustainably, plastic-free, with minimal waste, and a climate-friendly menu. The food will largely be local, seasonal, and less processed. We strive to ensure that food does not become waste, hence it is prepared by chefs for a specific number of people. We are making efforts to minimize the carbon footprint, so we invite you to walk to the event, ride a bike, take the free bus Lokalc (Lokalc Bus Schedule), or carpool. Please note that parking spaces for cars in Old Velenje are limited. We suggest you park in the Mercator Center Velenje garage (Garage Location) and walk to the venue.
