Bicycle bus

Go on a bus trip? Why not! This year, the municipalities of Velenje, Šoštanj, and Šmartno ob Paki offer all residents and visitors of the Šaleška Valley a new way to spend their free time: a bus connection between Velenje and Logarska Valley, with the option of transporting bicycles.

We named it Bicycle bus because we wanted to emphasize that it is also connected to a trailer that can transport up to ten bicycles. It is, of course, also intended for passengers who do not own a bicycle.

The bicycle bus is a 30-seater bus that comes equipped with a trailer for transporting bicycles. It is intended for everyone, including tourists who do not have a bicycle and, of course, cyclists. We want to ensure that the Upper Savinja region and Logarska Valley can be reached without the use of a car by providing organized public transportation, thereby reducing the presence of sheet metal in the area. At the same time, we want to provide a relaxing trip without a long car ride, with a lower carbon footprint, and to encourage active nature exploration.

EVERY WEEKEND IN  JULY AND AUGUST, THE BICYCLE BUS WILL TAKE YOU TO THE LOGARSKA VALLEY.

The cost of transportation is determined by the length of the journey, and bicycle transportation is free. Ticket reservations are not possible.
