Velenje beach is ready for the new summer season, now in an even better, more accessible, and sustainable form.
Join us for the grand opening weekend of the renovated Velenje Beach from June 13. to 15., 2025. For the seventh consecutive year, it has been recognized as Slovenia’s best-maintained natural swimming area. The extensive renovation has brought a fresh look and numerous improvements: new urban equipment, more green areas, a renovated central pier, and reinforced shoreline. Special attention has been given to accessibility for all. Paths and access points are now more user-friendly for visitors with mobility and sensory impairments- More information about how the renovation took place and what it included.
FRIDAY, JUNE 13th,2025
The day will commence with a press conference about the renovated Velenje Beach, followed by a relaxed introduction to the new summer season. The evening will conclude with a bonfire night, where the lakeside will glow with lights and a magical evening atmosphere.
SATURDAY, JUNE 14th, 2025
An unforgettable day of fun for all generations awaits!
From 10:00AM to 6:00PM, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities; from a magician’s performance (Jole Cole) and clown animations to a fairy tale land of inflatable attractions and a giant bubble factory.
For those seeking more action, we have prepared various sports and water activities, fun competitions for children and adults, and some surprises. The best participants will earn attractive prizes.
The day will be hosted by the charming moderator, renowned radio host, and stand-up comedian Blaž Babič, who will ensure that no one is bored.
In the evening, the event moves to Vista-the park with a view, where a grand summer concert will take place! Performances by Severina, Luka Basi, and the band Skater will provide an unforgettable evening of music and dance.

On Sunday, 15th of June, we invite you to enjoy a relaxed and easygoing day at Velenje Beach. Take a swim, soak under the sun, challenge yourself with some sports, and dive into the water fun offered by the most popular beach far and wide.
As part of the opening weekend, from the 13th to the 15th of June, special promotional prices will apply to all water activities and food & beverage services at Velenje Beach.

The Šalek Valley Tourism Institute is introducing new enhancements to elevate the experience at Velenje Lake. The Water Park, which opened its doors on June 13, is now even more dynamic and attractive—with new inflatable elements adding excitement and fun for all generations.
For the first time, life jackets are mandatory for all visitors, significantly increasing safety. The park will now require an entrance fee to ensure an improved user experience and support further development of its offerings.
To enhance visitor comfort, more free umbrellas and loungers have been added, along with family pergolas providing extra privacy and shade. Among infrastructure improvements, highlights include: Renovation of garage doors at the Čolnarna facility, repairs to the diving platform, the installation of a second pier, A striking 3D JUMBO welcome sign at the entrance to the beach.
Lounge Chair Rental Information: Umbrellas and loungers are free to use, lounge chairs require a deposit of €20, refundable upon return of the chair and token, chairs can be collected at the central pier, in the Water Park tent, visitors are kindly requested to use their own towels when using loungers.
Safety & Security: Trained lifeguards, marshals, and security personnel ensure a carefree experience for all guests.

How to get to park Vista?
Parking at Velenje Beach
For the safety of all visitors, we’ve implemented one of the most advanced parking systems.
Parking at Velenje Beach is chargeable from May 1st, to September 30th. Free parking is also available for disabled individuals and motorcyclists (in front of the gate).
Parking for up to 60 minutes is free. Each additional hour of parking (up to a maximum of 5 hours) costs 1 euro. The price of a daily parking ticket is 5 euros. Parking fees at the beach can be paid in cash or by credit/debit card at two parking machines.
Funds collected from parking fees are used for the maintenance and enhancement of Velenje Beach and the continued development of this tourist destination, which, together with Vista, is becoming one of the most visited tourist spots in Slovenia.

Experiences at Velenje Lake:
Exellent recreation is also provided by tennis courts, beach volleyball courts, football and basketball fields, a mini-golf course, a golf practice area and footgolf. The lakeside paths are a popular area for walks, hikes, cycling, and horseback riding throughout the year. Children enjoy the free water park and playgrounds by the lake.

The campsite is located by Lake Velenje, just a few meters from the increasingly popular Velenje Beach, It offers accommodation in mobile homes, overnight stays for motorhomes and caravans, and tent camping on a beautiful meadow right by the lake.

Velenje Beach is divided into three equal sections. The first section, encompassing one-third of the beach, offers natural shade. The second section provices shade with free umbrellas and sunbeds, while the third section is for those who prefer to sunbathe or set up their own umbrellas. There’s also a dog-friendly beach nearby.
